Launching Avocado Toast To Go

We’re excited to launch Avocado Toast To Go - our brand’s spin on a travel blog / resource. You can expect the basics of a travel blog - like trip summaries, packing lists, and must-sees - and you can also expect to see topics more specific to the millennial mindset. We’ll write about the murkier emotions of hitting the road - like worthiness, loneliness, and anxiety - and always be on the search for the best avocadoes.

Why are we launching this?

There’s been no shortage of articles about millennial burnout and the great resignation - and your co-founders are no exception to this cultural moment. We’ve been feeling beat down, burnt out, and ready to drag the whole system down with us as we crash and burn in our over-exertion.

One of your Exhausted Millennials - Devin (me) - decided to tap the fuck out. Call it a mid-life crisis, a mental break, a mini-retirement, or a stroke of clarity - or all of the above. I’m leaving Corporate America and am spending the next 16 months backpacking around the world. We’ve decided to create this sub-brand to document the trip and thoughts along the journey, and to create resources for anyone else who needs to leave their soul-sucking grind behind them.

While still a part of the Exhausted Millennial brand, AT2G (Avocado Toast to Go) is going to lean in more to the rawness of the moment than we normally do. You may see more cussing or anger than in our other projects. For now, we’ll be limiting this unadulterated attitude to just this project.

What’s This Going to Cover

Over the next 16 months, I’m going to try to turn this blog into a hyper-millennial resource for backpacking around the world. It will cover the basics like packing, exercising on the road, and budgeting for extended travel — and also more millennial-mindset topics like mid-life retirements, finding purpose in life, and, of course, where you can find avocado toast around the world.

You’ll also see our social media take on a more creator-centric feel as I will be documenting the trip and this blog through our social - as well as any other projects that we launch.

If you want to follow along, I will also blast out an occasional email newsletter with topics and places that have been covered recently. Sign up today if you want the updates!
