Self-Talk for Bad Days
Our self-talk for bad days series is designed to gift kind language for sitting with and processing challenging feelings and situations. 2020 and 2021 have been hard years for all of us. Because many things have been unavailable (travel, dining, shows), we haven’t been able to paper over these hardships with positive experiences or to distract ourselves - and instead have had to sit with them. We’ve noticed many friends and family members have struggled to comfort themselves throughout this period, and sometimes struggled to validate and soothe each other’s hardships. As a society, we often lack the skillset to validate our own subjective experiences and to be kind to ourselves and each other in our suffering. These cards are a small effort to put out a language of relating to ourselves in hard moments that validates what is happening and meets it with kindness.
